SUMMARY:School of Biodiversity and Conservation
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThis event aims to significantly increase awareness of biodiversity conservation\, with a target of reaching at least 30% of participants across different regions. Despite the growing global environmental crisis\, a large proportion of people worldwide still have limited understanding of biodiversity\, why it matters\, and how its loss affects ecosystems\, livelihoods\, and human well-being. \n  \nAcross the world and in biodiversity-rich regions such as the Niger Delta ecosystems including forests\, wetlands\, coastal zones\, and wildlife habitats are under increasing pressure from human activities such as deforestation\, pollution\, unsustainable resource use\, and climate change. Addressing these challenges requires a well informed\, engaged\, and globally conscious citizenry. \n  \nBy combining education\, policy awareness\, and practical engagement\, this initiative seeks to equip participants from different countries with the knowledge\, skills\, and ethical grounding needed to support biodiversity conservation and promote sustainable practices within their own communities. \n  \n \nKey Topics And Objective\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Introduction to biodiversity and global environmental challenges\n \n \n \n \n Biodiversity across regions: challenges\, opportunities\, and success stories\n \n \n \n \n Sustainable practices and how conservation can be integrated into daily life\n \n \n \n \n Major threats to biodiversity and the importance of conservation ethics\n \n \n \n \n Overview of national and international conservation policies and frameworks\n \n \n \n \n Fieldwork\, case studies\, and hands-on practical conservation activities\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register for Event\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Our Facilitators
