Within recent years, the world has received very strong warnings from scientific studies indicating climate change will affect life as we know it if actions are not stepped up to address it. Many extreme weather events and environmental changes experienced within recent years have been linked to climate change.
3. Renewable energy
Global demand for energy has risen inexorably in the last 150 years in step with industrial development and population growth. The lion’s share of global energy (about 80% at present) is supplied by coal, oil, and gas the ‘fossil fuels’ that formed long ago from the carbon-rich remains of dead plants and animals. However, these are non-renewable sources that will one day be exhausted. The world needs energy that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs

Biodiversity conservation has three prime objectives: Maintain crucial ecological processes as well as life support systems. Preserve the variety of species. Make sustainable exploitation of ecosystems and species.
